My Annoying Friend
The bell rings signalling the beginning of lunch
and that is when I run faster than the speed of light
trying to avoid her.
She yells, calling my name and runs after me
but I pretend not to hear her.
My friends look at me
with sympathy
Glad it's me and not them
I try to lose her
but she grabs my wrist
I want to scream and tell her to go away
But I'm too polite
I tell her to leave me alone
But she doesn't listen
No matter what I do
Or what I say
She won't leave me alone
I sit in the corner, not knowing where to look, or what to do with my hands. I cower in the corner, afraid to look up and meet their prying eyes. How is it that everyone is the same, all the same ages, all talk the same language, yet everyone are treated so different? I don't like the same music as everyone else, don't talk about the same things as everyone else, and don't dress the same as everyone else. People says different is good, but is it? Why does everyone judge me then? The teacher walks in. She is wearing the same outfit, as always, the same grim expression, as always, and greets the class, the same way, as always. Her eyes scan the
How often we must bear the challenges of life;
The endless roller coaster between happiness and sadness
The constant ups and downs?
Life is not an easy road
It twists and turns
But we are always are given a choice ...
Do we take the high road ...
or the low road?
Do we take the easy path ...
or the difficult one?
While standing
We are urged to take the mnost comfortable path
The road with least resistance ...
The shortest or most traveled route.
However if we've been down that comfortable road before;
Then you've learned lessons from your experiences;

I'm so sorry I
Wasn't good enough
I'm so sorry I
Messed up all the time
I'm so sorry I
Didn't get good grades
I'm so sorry I
Disappointed you
I'm so sorry I
Couldn't deal with it all
I'm so sorry I
Didn't love you enough to stay
I'm so sorry
So so sorry...
Run, run,
never stop.
Keep on running 'till you drop.
If they catch you,
it wont end well.
After all,
who is there left for you to tell?
"Daddy's a drunk,
and Mommy's a junkie,
Grandma and Grandpa doen't even want me"
So
Run, run,
never stop.
Keep on running 'till you drop.
Run far away,
far away from this place.
Maybe one day you'll be able to live in peace.
You'll find someone who loves you
and won't let you down.
And you can stop running -
safe and sound.
